Timing For Sleep


Something Ayurvedic...Facts!!!!


Sleeping before Pitta period starts (10PM) helps the body digest food and thoughts more effectively. Kapha (6PM-10PM) is a time for winding down so avoid rigorous exercise, bright displays and heavy dinner. Have a warm water bath, meditate and get to bed 30 mins before you actually sleep. Taking a walk before Kapha (6AM) can help reset your biological clock!




 

  • Avoid using your laptop, TV, mobile…anything with bright active displays, before bedtime
  • Eat a simple, well-cooked meal 3 hours before bedtime. Avoid heavy dinner.
  • Exercise and indulge in meditation, during Kapha time.
  • Get up before Kapha  period in the morning and take a walk – can help reset your biological clock.




 Do you remember the time you were really tired, but just couldn’t figure out how to sleep? We’ve all been there. This is probably because your mind is racing, with thoughts all over the place.
